Meet Scott
To this day I remember the wonderful and exciting moment I left Kansas City, Missouri behind and headed to Hood River Oregon; I accepted a promotion with a major telecommunications company and agreed to relocate to Hood River. My wife Nanette and I were thrilled with the fantastic opportunity to explore the West and start a new way of life in a much smaller town. We could not imagine leaving my Mom in KC, so we invited her to join us in our new adventure out West! Dorothy (my Mom) has found this to be a great retirement area too, all the shopping is just 5 minutes away, and no more freeway traffic to the beauty shop either!

My dreams really were fulfilled when after 11 years of being married to my best friend Nanette, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter. It was one of the best moments of my life to finally be a Dad! Hood River is a great place to live, and raise a family with the diversity of the Gorge. The small community of the Gorge is a unique slice of living, one that I can not imagine anywhere else. We have met so many wonderful friends over the years, they are now a part of our family!

I have been a full time Realtor for 5 years now and have earned advanced degrees by studying at the Graduate of Real Estate Institute and Certifed Residential Specialist in-class specialty courses. Recently I opened the doors to the Gorge's newest Real Estate Company: Hawkey Realty. Having learned at the feet of Master Yoda-Don Nunamaker, I now have the Professional Real Estate skills to Coach my client's through the property acquisition process.

Why Real Estate? Well, I have always had a niche and broad understanding of the Real Estate industry, my Dad was a successful Realtor for over 15 years. I decided to take the leap of faith and utilize all the training I had gained over the last 14 years in professional sales and go into business for myself as a Realtor. So if you need help as a Seller, Buyer, Investor, or Developer, I have the knowledge and skills to make the transaction happen for you. I really enjoy helping new people and families settle in and make the transition in this wonderful piece of paradise I take pride in calling home.

One other thing you should know is that your realtor Scott Haanstad, also represented you beautifully. We wish he had been our realtor-we received better customer service from him than from our own realtor. We highly recommend Scott to our friends & family and consider both Scott and Jason a friend.
